May 18th, 2009 ~ At 1930 hours Littleton Fire Communications alerted Engine 14 to a reported brush fire in the 7600 block of South Steele Street. Within minutes the incident was upgraded to a structure fire and auto aid was requested from South Metro. Engine 14 arrived to find bushes and a fence heavily involved and extending to the end unit of a multi family row. The crew from 14 advanced one line and make a quick knock on the fire, E17 arrived and stretched a second line for overhaul. Minor damage to the structure occurred with no extension to the interior. The cause of the fire was unsafe barbequing, no injuries were reported. Eric Hurst Photos
