South Adams Water Recovery

June 28, 2009 ~ Around 1500 hours North Washington Fire Rescue was alerted to a vehicle in the water at 76th and Steele. Units arrived to find an unoccupied Ford Bronco submerged in the Platte River on South Adams Fire's side of the river. South Adams responded with a heavy rescue, water rescue team and a safety officer. North Washington operated as a safety team, deploying a rescue line down river. South Adams conducted the safe recovery and removal of the vehicle. The Adams County Sheriff's Office remained on scene for the investigation.
