June 19, 2009 ~ Denver Firefighters responded to two fires.  The first occurred in the mid afternoon in the 6400 block of Happy Canyon Road.  Engine 22 arrived there to find a well involved car under a carport several feel away from a wood fence and occupied multiple dwelling.  22's laid in, advanced a line and quickly knocked the down the car with only minor extension to the interior of the carport.  Three companies were held for a short time.  The second job occurred at Dakota & Ogden around 2100.  First due Engine 21 arrived to find smoke saturating the street, the source was a first floor fire in a single family dwelling.  Companies forced entry, quickly located and knocked the fire which had extended to the 2nd floor, vented and all searches which proved negative.  No injuries occurred at either scene.   Eric Hurst Photos
