May 23, 2009 ~ Around 2030 the DFD was called to Platte River Drive & Jewell for a reported car into the river.  First due 16's a pair and Chief 3 arrived to find a small coupe 1/4 submerged along the river bank.  A total of 3 occupants were in the vehicle when the accident occurred; all were able to self extricate.  They were transported by Denver Health Paramedics for evaluation.  Firefighters remained on scene during the removal of the car.  Eric Hurst Photos
