December 19th ~ At approximately 2100 hours, Golden Fire Department started receiving calls on a confirmed structure fire in the area of 3rd & Zeta Street in Golden.  With the reports coming in, mutual aid was requested from Pleasant View.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a treehouse like residential structure, outbuilding, fence, surrounding trees and vegetation fully involved.  Adjacent structures were also threatened.  Crews made an aggressive attack, quickly knocking the main body of fire.  There was no damage to the exposure homes and no reported injuries.  The fire is under investigation but may have been caused by tiki torches.  Rick Luebke Photos
