December 18th ~ In the early evening Denver Firefighters were alerted to multiple reports of a building fire at Evans & Federal.  Chief 7 arrived at 2039 South Federal to find moderate smoke showing from a middle of the row commercial store.  Engine 23 laid dual lines to the front, the Tower forced entry and crews advanced inside.  A search was made in moderate smoke and heat conditions, then a small content fire was located and quickly knocked.  Searches proved negative for victims and extension, companies remained on scene venting & picking up line for about an hour.  Eric Hurst Photos
