April 6, 2009 ~ At 1714 hours West Metro Firefighters were called to 13050 West Cedar for a confirmed structure fire. First due units arrived at the Chateau Verde Apartments to find heavy fire showing from the 2nd & 3rd floor balconies. An extra Engine & Medic were ordered by command to supplement the all hands job. Crews had the fire knocked down in 10 minutes and remained on scene for some time later overhauling. A dozen residents were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. Rick Luebke Photos
