September 30, 2009 ~ In the afternoon during a High Wind Warning, North Washington Fire Rescue was alerted to a fire on Bronco Road.  While enroute companies reported smoke showing.  Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire conditions with small structures, vegetation and a fence on fire with several exposures.  The rapidly growing, wind driven fire was attacked from the A & C sides and quickly knocked down.  Minor damage to several exposed vehicles occurred but there was no extension into the nearby homes.  The fire is believed  to be caused by downed power lines.  Mike Melton Photos
