July 15, 2009 ~ Just before 1300 hours Arvada Firefighters responded to Westbound I-70 & Kipling for a large fuel spill.  Upon arrival companies found a 
ruptured saddle tank on a semi tractor-trailer at about Parfet St.  Crews used absorbents to mitigate the diesel problem, traffic was reduced to one lane and backed up past Sheridan Blvd.  Pridemark Paramedics were called for a firefighter with heat exhaustion and provided rehab.  CDOT also responded and provided traffic safety on the interstate.  Rick Luebke Photos
