November 19th ~ Just before noon a male and female entered the 1st Bank near 120th & Sheridan with hand guns and escaped with cash.  A short while later their vehicle was spotted by police near 104th & Federal where the car chase and shooting began.  As the pursuit continued north on Federal the suspects fired shots toward officers.  Near 120th a PIT Maneuver was successfully carried out, ending with the vehicle stopped, facing head on toward officers.  The suspects then opened fire again, prompting officers to return fire.  The gun battle quickly ended with one suspect dead and the second critically wounded who later died and the hospital.  Westminster & North Metro Firefighters responded to treat the suspects as well as Westmister Police Officer Sean Chandler and Deputy Chief Tim Carlson who were both shot in the hip.  Officer Chandler was transported for his injuries.  Federal Blvd remained closed throughout the night for the investigation.  Mike Melton Photos
