September 9th ~ At 1018 hours MetCom received reports of a house fire at 7862 Hill Crest Drive in the Town of Louvires.  Companies reported a column of smoke in the air from miles away and transmitted a confirmed fire.  First due Engine 40 found a singe family home with heavy smoke and fire showing and started fire attack.  Local hydrants have a limited water supply so Tenders were requested to help supplement water.  Several lines were placed into operation and a 2nd Alarm was transmitted, bringing resources from 6 departments.  The fire was brought under control within the hour and companies were released.  Two injured homeowners were treated on scene for minor injuries, the investigation continues.   Photos Courtesy of Becky O'Guinn
