September 9th ~ At 1018 hours MetCom received reports of a house fire at 7862 Hill Crest Drive in the Town of Louvires. Companies reported a column of smoke in the air from miles away and transmitted a confirmed fire. First due Engine 40 found a singe family home with heavy smoke and fire showing and started fire attack. Local hydrants have a limited water supply so Tenders were requested to help supplement water. Several lines were placed into operation and a 2nd Alarm was transmitted, bringing resources from 6 departments. The fire was brought under control within the hour and companies were released.
