October 18th ~ Just before 1900 hours Littleton Fire Communications alerted units in the 1st Battalion to a reported structure fire in the 800 block of East County Line Road. Moments after the tone went out, a Rural Metro Ambulance driving down County Line advised there was heavy smoke showing from the building. First Due Engine 15 arrived a shot time later and confirmed the same, hit a plug and began stretching 2 1/2. Additional companies quickly arrived and found heavy smoke conditions venting from all sides and blackened windows. Command requested an additional 2 Engines & Medic as crews forced entry and vented the outside windows. Teams searched the structure and found sprinkler activation as well as an involved parts & service area. Extensive overhaul and ventilation took place for over an hour and an investigator was called to the scene. The cause remains under investigation. Click here for the full photo gallery.
