November 28th ~ Around 1600 Thornton Fire was alerted to a semi trailer on fire with multiple callers at the Mission Trace shoping center on 120th and Colorado. Thick black smoke could be seen in the air from blocks away. Crews arrived and found heavy fire conditions coming from a goodwill trailer filled with clothes and other household items. Attack lines were placed into operation by the first due engine, as more companies arrived firefighters were able to vent the trailer and gain better access to fire. Due to the heavy fuel load, pockets of fire continued to be discovered throughout the overhaul. The trailer and most its contents were destroyed in the fire, no injuries were reported.
